It is with a sad heart that I post that U.S. astronaut Neil Armstrong has passed away at the young age of 82.

Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 space mission. He also served in the Navy during the Korean War. Armstrong is best remembered for famously saying as he bounced the first few steps on the moon "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." After this final space mission for Armstrong, he became a teacher at the University of Cincinnati for eight years.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Armstrong and thank you for your service and contribution.

But I'm back and researching several historical events I'll write articles about in the coming weeks. Until then, I'm thrilled to tell you about the twitter I set up for random little facts and updates on the blog.
